Preparing the Proposal

As we progress from Week Three to Week Four, our project proposal begins to take shape with the completion of our first draft. While specifics are still being finalized, the foundation is set and solid. Besides proposal formulation, this week has largely been focused on gathering previous groups’ information and new resources that would be beneficial to our project. A challenge we face is that a large quantity of information that we have yet to assess is only stored on a physical disk which has not yet been located.

This week, we also met with a research librarian to determine the quality of the resources we found as well as how to find more quality resources. We found this meeting extremely helpful and what we learned has been assisting us in our last goal of the week, creating meaningful infographics that quickly and accurately display the state of Venice.

Looking towards next week, we will continue to refine our proposal and delve into the data from previous groups. With a more complete data set, we hope to create more meaningful infographics and firmly establish our project’s deliverables.
