EyeMMV

EyeMMV (Eye Movements Metrics & Visualizations) toolbox

EyeMMV toolbox is a complete analysis software appropriate for post experimental eye movement analysis. EyeMMV designed using the scripting language of MATLAB from MathWorks®. The toolbox supports all well-known eye tracking metrics and visualization techniques. The performance of fixation detection is based on a two-step spatial dispersion threshold.

A full description about the toolbox and the fixation identification algorithm can be found in the article below:

The metrics supported by EyeMMV toolbox:

Fixation based:

Coordinates lists: based on (t1, t2,minDur) & (t1, 3s, minDur) criteria, durations, start/end time, total number, mean duration, time to first fixation, list of repeat fixations, & total duration.

Saccade based:

Total number, saccade list, start/end fixation point, duration, amplitude, & direction angle.

Scanpath based:

Length, duration, saccades/fixation ratio, spatial density, transition matrix, & transition density.

Visualization techniques supported by EyeMMV toolbox:

Diagram of horizontal and vertical coordinates along time (x-t and y-t diagram), diagram of raw data distribution (x-y), diagram of raw data distribution over stimulus (i-j), scanpath diagram over stimulus, heatmap visualization, & space-time-cube visualization.

Statistics for Regions of Interest (ROIs) Analysis supported by EyeMMV toolbox:

Number of fixations in region, list of fixations in region, mean fixations’ duration, number (%) of fixations, duration (%) of fixations. EyeMMV also supports the visualization of the selected ROIs.

EyeMMV toolbox can be executed in every operating system (Windows, Linux or Mac OS) where MATLAB is installed, while EyeMMV's source code can be easily modified in order to be adapted in each eye tracker equipment.
