Training

I have a variety of training focusing upon working with students who have dyslexia and specific learning disabilities including:

• Fellow/OGA, Orton Gillingham Academy

  • provide accredited OGA courses across Canada and USA virtually or in-person

  • Fellows can teach, tutor, supervise, develop, and conduct trainings at the following levels and recommend OGA membership for individuals they have trained: Subscriber, Classroom Educator, Associate Level, Clinical Level, Clinical Supervisor, and Fellow.

What a Fellow does

• • Educates and Mentors: Fellows design and deliver rigorous, approved coursework for Associate and Certified level training.

  • Supervises Practicums: They oversee the required supervised practicums that trainees must complete.

• C-SLDS: Certified Structured Literacy Dyslexia Specialist with CERI

• Neuropsychology of Specific Learning Disabilities (Dr. S. Feifer)  

• Neuropsychology of Learning Disabilities (Dr. A. Henley) 

• Certified Dyslexia Therapist, International Dyslexia Association Accreditation and Certification (CDT/IDA)

• Multi-Sensory Math Certification (currently training)

• Barton training and practice

• FAST training and practice

• LiPS, Visualizing and Verbalizing, Seeing Stars with Lindamood Bell

• Screening for Dyslexia Training, with Susan Barton through the University of San Diego
