ANNOUNCEMENT: As of the early 2010's I have not been as engaged in research into the Arts, Crafts, and Culture of Medieval South India. I am leaving these pages up as a resource for those interested in these topics.

Baroness Irayari Vairavi has been in the SCA since 1993. Her first event was An Tir's May Crown Tournament XXVIII. Since that time she was active in the Kingdoms of AEthelmearc (1996-1998), Middle (1998-2001), and Caid (2004-2006) before settling in the East. Her primary focus is the Arts & Sciences of 13th-14th century South India, specializing in clothing and accessories. She is a Companion of the Lux Caidis, the Caid Grant-level award for excellence in the Arts & Sciences, and a Companion of the Maunche. At Pennsic 39 (2010) she was elevated to the Order of the Laurel for her persona research. Vairavi is also the proprietress of Vexillum Bannerworks, producers of silk banners and parasols created using the resist silk-painting technique.
