Prospective PhD Students

PhD students in my research team work within a vibrant, productive and supportive environment. Team members include faculty, students (PhD, Masters and Honours) and research assistants as well as industry partners (e.g., ERGT Australia, Deloitte, F45 Fitness Studios).

My research projects offer a wide variety of opportunities for PhD students which involve field research, laboratory work or a combination of both. My PhD students also have access to a wide range of industry links (e.g., from mining, education, health and the military) for field research as well as state-of-the-art facilities for laboratory work.

Perth, Western Australia

Perth is regularly ranked among the top 10 most liveable cities in the world. In 2017, Perth was ranked the 7th most liveable city in the world by The Economist. The city boasts an average of nine hours of sunshine per day and enjoys 131 perfectly blue-skyed days a year. The UWA campus is beautifully located on the banks of the Swan River with King’s Park just steps away and easy access to the Central Business District. Perth boasts 19 pristine white sand beaches directly on the Indian Ocean as well as two world-class wine regions within a three hour drive: the Swan Valley, one of Australia’s oldest wine regions, and Margaret River, home to over 200 wineries.
