Josaiah Ndubuisi Wachuku, 1875 – 2 January 1950, was king, first among paramounts of Ngwaland, servant leader and Eze of Ngwa-land; from 1910 to 1950 – in the then Aba Division of Eastern Nigeria – during British colonial times. Wisely and fearlessly, King Josaiah Ndubuisi Wachuku navigated royal affairs, intricate Wachuku family growth, Ngwa sustainable development, good governance, peace, social justice, education, healthcare, human rights, politics, essential business, policies, national affairs, African issues, foreign relations, partnerships, sustainability, emerging technologies, agriculture and lucrative palm oil trade, within Commonwealth of Nations and Allied Forces Systems, globally; through those complex and challenging years of First World War or Great War of Tuesday 28 July 1914 to Wednesday 11 November 1918 plus Second World War of Friday 1 September 1939 to Sunday 2 September 1945; with decisive servant leadership, diplomacy, vision, emotional intelligence, valuable strength, love, care, spiritual awareness, humaneness, inspiring progressiveness and higher purpose.     


In visionary dimensions, seeing him as a royal child of destinty, his mother: Princess ....... from Nvosi and Merchant Prince father: Wachuku, son of King Ọgbaraegbe, named him Josaiah after Josiah or Yoshiyahu[a] who was the 16th king of Judah in ancient Israel. King Josaiah Ndubuisi Wachuku belonged to the Royal House of Ebiyi; which, in Igbo language, is specifically called: Ụmụ Ebiyi; meaning: Children of Ebiyi. In their 1944 edition, Irish Law Times and Solicitors' Journal: Volume 78 on Ireland, politics and society through the press: 1760-1922, published by J. Falconer, cited "J. Ndubisi Wachuku" - King Josaiah Ndubuisi Wachuku of Ụmụ Ebiyi Royal House: Eziukwu Palace: "Orange House: Nbawsi: Ngwa."[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10]    


From traditional narratives and documentations, working designations for King Josaiah Ndubuisi Wachuku were: Paramount of Nsulu, Onyeisi of Ndi Ngwa: Head and Leader of Ngwa People plus first among Paramounts of Ngwaland. One of his sons, Professor Alọzie Wachuku usually refer to him as "the Agamemnon among Ngwa Paramounts." In 1983, during senatorial election of his son: Jaja Wachuku, Ezes of Aba Ngwa, referred to King Josaiah Ndubuisi Wachuku as "Onye ndu anyi," - which means: "Our leader who guides us." Ezes of "ala Ngwa" regarded him as their leader and spokesman in their dealings with British colonial authorities; within Nigeria, Africa, Commonwealth and globally.[11][12][13]


King Josaiah Ndubuisi Wachuku was first among Ezes of Ngwa land, because of his vision, fearlessness, recognized leadership excellence, generational royal lineage, wisdom and humaneness. Strategically, his ancestral Royal House of Ụmụ Ebiyi is still organized and alive through Wachuku family progenies of his. In recent history, the Royal House of Ụmụ Ebiyi is headed by the eldest living son of King Josaiah Ndubuisi Wachuku. Previous Heads of Ụmụ Ebiyi Royal House were: Albert Ndubuisi Wachuku, Jaja Ndubuisi Wachuku, Benjamin Ndubuisi Wachuku, Jonah Ndubuisi Wachuku. Currently, Barrister: Sir Chikezie Ndubuisi Wachuku is Head of Ụmụ Ebiyi Royal House.[14][15][16][17]

1: Royal Ancestry:  


In royal lineage, King Josaiah Ndubuisi Wachuku, whose brothers were: James Nwanjku Wachuku, Nwaogwugwa Wachuku,  Marcus Nwogu Wachuku and Elijah Akwada Wachuku, was the son of Wachuku: 1840, Ọgbaraegbe: 1810, Waọma: 1780, Chakwa: 1750, Ebiyi: 1720, Nkpeyi: 1690, Ngbawa: 1660, etc.    


Relevantly, royal sisters of King Josaiah Ndubuisi Wachuku were: Nmaji, Ugbọaya, Janet; daughters of Wachuku; son of Ọgbaraegbe; son of Waọma from Ngwa-land, accordingly. His name Josaiah or Josiah means: "God supports and heals." Additionally, his Igbo second name: Ndubuisi or Ndubisi means: Life is Supreme: Human life and health must be given priority, always. With vision, his mother: Princess ....... and Merchant Prince father: Wachuku Ọgbaraegbe, saw him as a royal descendant of purpose and named him Josaiah in memory of Josiah or Yoshiyahu[a], the sixteenth king of Judah as documented in Israeli history and Bible book of 2nd Kings: Chapter 22 and 2nd Kings: Chapter 23.[18][19][20][21][22]  


Historically, King Josaiah Ndubuisi Wachuku's apogean royal ancestor, Ngbawa, had moved from Ụmụlọlọ: Eziama Ntịgha, present Abia State: Nigeria, over five hundred years ago, in about the last quarter of the 17th century, about 1660; to settle in their current Nbawsi native land. Within its March 1964 "Area Handbook for Nigeria," United States of America's Army Department documented Ngwa King Josaiah Ndubuisi Wachuku's Nbawsi, relevantly.[23][24]


Notably, King Josaiah Ndubuisi Wachuku's villages, within his foremost recorded ancestor Ngbawa's Nbawsi town, are called: Ụmụnkpeyi and Ụmụọmainta; derived from two of his royal ancestors. Also, from his royal ancestor: Ebiyi came the name of King Josaiah Wachuku's Umụ Ebiyi Royal House - Children of Ebiyi Royal House. In its 1958 booklet, Nigeria's FIS: Federal Information Service cited Ngwa-Land's "Chief Ndubisi Wachuku" of Ụmụọmainta: Nbawsi; in reference to King Josaiah Ndubuisi Wachuku.[25][26][27]

While he served Ngwa people, Igboland, Commonwealth of Nations and humankind, King Josaiah Ndubuisi Wachuku empowered women and less privileged persons in Ngwaland and beyond. Women were given vital voice and platform to state their needs and share their viable vision for sustainable development, family values, education, healthcare, energy, mechanization, technology, creativity, innovation, infrastructure, industrialization, democratic politics, servant leadership, trade, financial inclusion, environment, sustainability, agriculture, land ownership, legal representation, peace, human rights and fairness; including during Nsulu Women's protest; that started on Saturday 3 January 1948; concerning King Josaiah Ndubuisi Wachuku's "palm oil plantations, machines for cracking kernels and PMOs: Pioneer Oil Mills;" which King Josaiah Ndubuisi Wachuku's third son: Prince Jaja Wachuku; "who had returned from Ireland in 1947; after graduating from University of Dublin as a lawyer;" helped resolve by serving to humanely support those protesting women, legally and financially.[29][30][31][32]  


For African integration, from Gold Coast: Ghana, King Josaiah Ndubuisi Wachuku hired a man named : Abbey, for analysis, planning and construction of his Ngwa Palace plus abode, traditionally called: Eziukwu Palace: Ụlọ Agbụgba: Ụmụ Ebiyi: Orange House: Ụmụọmainta: Nsulu: Nbawsi: Ngwaland.

Going the way of all humankind, King Josaiah Ndubuisi Wachuku died on Monday 2 January 1950 at General Hospital Aba Ngwa; following a necessary operation done by Doctor Pears and his medical team. His death caused angry protests by Ngwa people; against doctors who performed operation on him.[126][127][128][129]
