What is UKSWAN ?
The objective of UKSWAN is to create a state wide area network that will improve government efficiency through connectivity. The Uttarakhand State Wide Area Network (UKSWAN) would serve as the backbone network for data, video and voice communications throughout the State which includes 1 State Head Quarter (SHQ), 13 District Head Quarters (DHQ), UKSWAN which is known as a Uttarakhand State Wide Area Network (UKSWAN) is an advanced communication infrastructure and now-a-days extensively used for exchange of Data, Voice & Video information between two or more locations, separated by significant geographical distances.
Presently approx. 1624 offices have been connected through horizontal SWAN connectivity. Apart from this, National Knowledge Network (NKN) has also been integrated with UKSWAN upto district level. All 13 district has been integrated.
