Examples of large items include couches, tables, rugs, etc.
No. Item limits are per project, not per person.
The value of each prop is determined by the Properties Manager. Depending on your type of project, we charge 5-10% of that value per item per week.
There is an additional flat restocking fee applied to every rental to cover the labor of restocking or repairing the things you have rented.
Each weekend your rental spans counts as 1 "week", and every rental has a 1 week minimum.
We have a few dollies and wagons you may borrow, however:
they are only for use during your appointment
they must be returned once everything is loaded into/out of your vehicle
you may not take them to the theatre or space your project will take place in
they may be unavailable, depending on what the Prop Studio is working on at the time
In general, it's wise to confirm ahead of time or plan for your own transportation if you think you will need it.
The Prop Stock Managers are not able to help move items in and out of the building. Please plan to bring additional hands with you if you will need help moving your props.
You may bring two other people with you to your appointment. Pets are (unfortunately) not allowed inside of Texas Performing Arts.
More people be allowed with prior Prop Stock Manager approval on a case-to-case basis.
