Transportation

Airports

The two major nearby airports are the Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) and Dallas Love Field (DAL) airports, about 25 miles and 15 miles to UTD, respectively.

Public Transportation to/from Airport

1. From DFW to UTD campus

Take the DART Rail Red Line or Orange Line to the Bush Turnpike Station. Transfer to the UT Dallas Comet Cruiser, Bus Route 883, serving the rail station at 20-minute intervals from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Friday. Check the service schedule for service hours and stops.

Fares: An AM/PM Local Pass is $3.00. A DART Local Day Pass is $6.00 (good for unlimited rides on all DART buses, DART Rail and TRE trains between Union Station and CentrePort/DFW Airport until 3 a.m. the next day).

2. From DAL to UTD campus

The DART Rail Green Line and Orange Line operates seven days a week from Inwood/Love Field Station, located near Dallas Love Field. Bus Route 524 picks up or drops off passengers on the street level below the rail platform.

Fares: A single ride fare is $2.50 (cash only, one-way trip, no pass issued). A Local Day Pass is available for $6.00 and is good for unlimited rides on all DART bus routes, DART Rail and TRE trains between Union Station and CentrePort/DFW Airport on the date purchased until 3 a.m. the next day. Dallas Love Field airport passengers traveling to Inwood/Love Field Station on the Love Link 524 ride for free.

Ridesharing services (Uber and Lyft) are active in the Dallas area. The UTD address is

When arriving to campus, please ask to be dropped off at the UTD Bus Circle / Visitor's Center, indicated by a blue cross on the campus map and follow direction to Founders North Building (FN) indicated by a blue circle.

Parking

Parking is free past 5:00 PM on Friday and on weekends for green spaces. Please click here to print a parking permit that works at Lots P, T, PS3 Gold or Green spaces. Alternatively, drivers may use Pay-by-Space parking located around campus (see parking map). Overnight parking is forbidden.

Lodging

Hilton Garden Inn Dallas/Richardson: $96 with breakfast and shuttle to UTD. Book by May 10^th through the link.
