Ussama worked as a simulation engineer for robotics projects supporting NASA's missions in space. Prior to that he served as the project lead at SySSR Inc for a machine learning project that utilizes deep learning to perform automatic translation. He served as the VP of engineering at Optecks, LLC building a platform for cloud connected drones. Prior to Optecks, he worked at Siemens on different roles in the areas of data visualization, cloud computing, video analytics, video streaming and 3D visualization. Ussama obtained his master degree from the University of Oklahoma majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering with research topic in the field of Volumetric Displays. He has a bachelor in Software Engineering from the University of Aleppo, Syria. During his undergrad he worked as the team lead for a startup company that builds and publishes video games.
