“Goju-Ryu Karatedo means the hard and soft way of the empty hand. This unique style is based on the concept that all hardness and stiffness is not good. At the same time all softness and too much gentle-ness is not an effective form of self-defense. The two should complement each other. Combining the two gives Goju-Ryu karate beautiful movement, filled with grace, flowing forms and strength. Actions are sometimes extremely fast and other times slow and majestic.”– Renshi J. KODOKAN JUDO
WEDNESDAYS: 8:00pm-9:30pm
The definition of Judo, in various tests, means "gentle art". The word "kodo" means to learn and the word "kan" means space. In short, Kodokan Judo, for many practitioners, means an area where one learns the gentle way.
