Concert Bands

Symphonic Band and Wind Symphony

There are two concert bands at UHS: Symphonic Band and Wind Symphony. Both groups enroll students from all grade levels, but the Wind Symphony is an auditioned group. These two bands also make up the Pep Bands that perform at home basketball games. The Wind Symphony received the distinct honor of performing at the 2023 and 2024 Illinois SuperState Concert Band Festivals at the Krannert Center for Performing Arts at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
