The award-winning Urbana High School band program is more than just a variety of musical ensembles. We are a family of students, directors, parents, alumni and community partners who collaborate to promote excellence in our UHS band program. Throughout the year, the UHS Band Boosters provide support to our bands and raise the necessary funds to make high quality music education accessible for all students regardless of income or background.

Join us on Monday, May 11 for the UHS Bands Spring Concert featuring Symphonic Band and Wind Symphony at 7 pm in the UHS Cobb Auditorium! New this Year: Silent Auction to Support Urbana Bands! Browse and bid on items at the concert.
Tiger Marching Band (TMB) will have an info meeting for prospective members and parents on Thursday, May 14 at 6 pm in the UHS Band Room. Attendance is optional for returning TMB members. Returning members will receive forms during band class; these forms are due the last week of school. Please note the 2026 field show will be announced at a later date.
UHS Band and Guard Students & Families: Join us for the Band Awards Potluck on May 15th at 6 pm in the UHS Commons. Every student will receive an award Bring in your potluck item at 5:45 pm. Every student will receive an award. Find out what to bring here and sign up to help make the event special for our students here.
Support the UHS Color Guard! Come get your car washed on Saturday, May 16 between 9 am and 1 pm at Advance Auto Parts, located at 110 N. Vine Street in Urbana. Proceeds will be used to purchase new flags, poles, and other equipment for the upcoming year!

Calling all TMB & TMB Alumni: March with us in the 2026 Champaign County Freedom Celebration Parade! Please let us know if you are interested and able to participate in the parade. Rehearsals will take place on July 1, July 2, and July 3rd. You must attend at least 2 of the rehearsals. The parade is on Saturday, July 4 at a time to be announced. RSVP here. Spread the word!

We are grateful to Miranda Soucie, Partner with Spiros Law, P.C. for her extraordinary commitment to Urbana High School Bands. Miranda’s connection to music began at age 12 when she began marching in Drum & Bugle Corps. As a first generation college and law student, she knows firsthand the positive impact that music and band can have. Miranda credits her experience in band with helping her learn the value of community, commitment, and discipline. We extend our heartfelt appreciation for her significant contributions toward the completion of the band room expansion and music library.
