All students will enroll for two courses. Requirements include:
1. One oral on-site presentation -- with handout) (20%).
2. One term paper (25%).
3. One final written assignment (25%).
4. One travel journal (15%).
5. Participation in all pre-trip meetings and on-site visits (15%).
The participation grade is determined by:
a. quality of work on assignments during the pre-trip meetings.
b. being a good citizen (i.e.,being on time, paying respectful attention during all presentations, being respectful to each other and others).
c. quality of work on assignments and activities during the trip.
Research for the site reports will be completed before the trip begins, but the term paper and final written assignment are due at the end of the summer (usually the end of the first week in August).

CLST 400H3. Honors Course: Greek Religion and Archaeology
Students will visit and study sanctuaries sacred to several gods. They will report on the religious activities and associated structures and artifacts, describing important aspects of the cults, using both literary and archaeological evidence. Students will write one analytical honors-level paper on the subject. They will write a final examination on various genres of archaeological remains. Honors students will submit part of their work to the professors before the trip. They will keep a Travel Journal.
WLLC 4230V. Culture and Civilization: Field Studies, Greece.
Students will visit and study sites and museums in Greece. They will deliver one short report on significant artistic, architectural, historic, and archaeological material describing and analyzing important aspects of the art and culture associated with the material remains, using both literary and archaeological evidence (with a handout). They will write a final examination on various genres Greek archaeological remains and cultural artifacts. Students will write one analytical paper on the subject.
CLST 30003: Ancient and Modern Greece
Students will visit and study sites and museums in Greece. They will deliver one short report (with a handout) on significant artistic, historical, architectural, or archaeological material (to be researched before the trip), and write one paper describing and analyzing important aspects of the subject with the material remains (if pertinent), using historical, literary, and archaeological evidence. They will write a final examination on various genres of archaeological remains. They will keep a Travel Journal.
CLST 300H3: Honors Course: Ancient and Modern Greece
An honors section of CLST 3003. Students will visit and study sites and museums in Greece. They will deliver one short report (with a handout) on significant artistic, historic, architectural, or archaeological material (to be researched before the trip), and write one honors-level paper describing and analyzing important aspects of the art and mythology associated with the material remains, using both literary and archaeological evidence. They will write a final examination on various genres of archaeological remains. Honors students will submit part of their work to the professors before the trip. They will keep a Travel Journal.
