This is the URE warranty. It's near impossible to get to see before you buy an engine. I certainly never saw it before I forked over the money for the motor. It wasn't sent to me until more than a week after the engine arrived.
A quick read reveals why it's kept a secret. But for those who don't want to read the small print, here is my take on the major points;
1. No Consequential damages. That means the cost to pull the motor and re-install it is up to you. In my case this is no small expenditure.
2. You pay to crate and ship it back to Glendale, AZ. In my case about $1,500.00 for Saia Freight.
3. Limitation of liability, this states "URE shall specifically have no financial liability in any instance whatsoever." How about them apples?
4. Governing Law, this says if you want to take legal action, because they are showing no sign of providing any help whatsoever, like in my case, you must do it in AZ.
5. Dispute Resolution, This says that when you do sue URE thier liability is caped at $1,000 and they get to expense you for thier costs.
6. The owner responsibilities and required documentation is overly onerous.
