 AUGUST 2021 -

(Rescheduled date from 2020)

It is with great joy that we announce our 2021 summer mission trip! Join us the first week in August 2021 – I will be leading a team which will head out to Cherryfield, Maine to work with Seacoast Mission -

What is Seacoast Mission?

“We make life better on Maine’s isolated eastern coast and its unbridged islands. Our programs and services meet basic human needs while creating community and relieving the effects of isolation. We build brighter futures through scholarships and after-school programs for more than 700 children and their families. Hundreds of volunteers make Washington County homes safer and warmer each year, while our Down East food programs provided more than 187,000 meals last year. Ninety percent of residents on islands served by the Sunbeam (the medical care boat – which travels to the islands) use its services, benefitting from healthcare, community activities, and pastoral care.

We have been committed to the people of Maine’s eastern islands and coastal communities since our founding in 1905, when we began delivering healthcare, education, basic necessities, and spiritual support by land and by sea. The trust that has grown between the Mission and the people of Downeast Maine over the years is our greatest asset.  It is a privilege to be part of the lives of those we serve—to share meals, work together, and know their hopes, fears, joys, and sorrows. We are listeners and doers. We are here for the long haul, and we are reliable.”

~Seacoast Mission

Together we will build, cook and serve at Table of Plenty, work with the families and children on the community to help make homes warm, safe and dry and be a light of Jesus to all we see!

So join me in August 2021 -  (You must be age 14 or older to attend this trip) and share an experience in missions to last a lifetime!

Blessings, Rev. Rachel <><
