Our Mission Ministry

Union Congregational Church is super active in mission and outreach! We believe that Jesus meets people where they are, and it's an honor and privilege to serve in His name. We serve with the shelter at Pilgrim Church in Dorchester, work with Seafarers Friend, serve the homeless on Boston, make weekly lunches for Father Bill's Place and more.

We are active participants and build with Habitat for Humanity, work with Church World Service, Penelope Shelter, Boston City Missions - We are proud supporters of the Weymouth & Braintree Food pantries, offer Different Abilities (Special Needs) dances throughout the year, share with Schools on Wheels and offer a wide variety of hands on mission opportunities throughout the year. These are just a few of the ways we serve. If you want to be active in our community and the world - join us in fellowship and service - and we offer mission opportunities for all ages!

Each summer we go out on a week long mission project - we served at Appalachia Service Project in West Virginia in 2019 and just returned from serving at ASP in Harlan, Kentucky in 2021! Our summer mission week for 2022 will be at SeaCoast Missions in Maine.

We are blessed to be in ministry with Union Towers I and II, and a Friday evening Men's AA group that meets in our fellowship hall at 7:15 pm.

We truly believe we are more blessed to give than to receive!
