Spring 2024
About Helpful Corn:
We are the University of Maryland's women's and non-binary club ultimate team, also known as Helpful Corn! We welcome any player that identifies in USAU's Women's division.
We are a competitive, laid-back, friendly, and progressive team. We practice multiple days a week and are focused on both individual and team development. Generally, our team competes at a regionals level.
The fall is the development season, and the spring is the real deal. We'll have a few tournaments in the fall that prepare us for the tournaments we have planned in the spring!
Starting in spring of 2024 we are going to be splitting into a travel team and a home team for the spring semester.
We are a bunch of goons. In addition to ultimate, we enjoy team bonding events such ice skating, pasta parties, and pretty much anything y'all want. Let's do it.
The other half of the UMD Ultimate program is great company as well. Check out the Space Bastards here.
You might also know us for losing to the UMD Men's Basketball team. We let them win, okay?

Gender Inclusion
Our use of womxn's is to be inclusive to players that don't fall under a binary view of gender. We happily accept any and all players that feel comfortable competing in USAU's Women's division.
Helpful Corn is committed to provide a safe environment for queer, trans, and marginalized players interested in Ultimate.
