Signing into Chrome is different from signing into Google Apps.

You can sign in to Chrome to access browser settings, such as bookmarks and apps, that have been synced to your Google Account. Then, regardless of what computer you are at, your desktop experience and all your favorites are where you need them. You should sign into Chrome

Dual Accounts
If you have more than one Google account (such as a personal email and a school email), you can also access both from the same browser. To access your other account, simply click your email address in the upper right hand corner (when in Gmail or Drive). Learn how to access dual accounts.
