U3A WEBINARS

With the suspension of in-person activities from March 2020 as a result of Sars Cov2 virus  Pandemic U3A groups moved events/meetings online using a number of different virtual meeting/events platforms.

A number of webinars were also organised and you can view such meetings/webinars on the individual U3A websites.   In addition Age Action U3A facilitated our U3A meetings via Zoom events.

These were recorded and members can play back if they missed these events or had technical issues joining on the day.    These can be viewed on  Age Action's You Tube video.

Since April 2020 members have joined the IFA Global Cafe weekly events where we discussed a whole range of issues relating to older adults with experts and others from around the world.    This was a great forum and happens every Friday .   Go to the following link to see the range of topics discussed.

There were great learnings and opportunities following  significant number of doors being opened to us that may not have been opened.      We all came together at a local, national and international level.

As we move forward in the Decade of Healthy Ageing 2021 - 2030 we expect that the future will by a hybrid model i.e. a mix of face to face and virtual events with our own members, local, national and international speakers.
