U3A Helderberg - Covid-19 Guidelines for Hikers

Do not hike if you are feeling the slightest bit unwell.

Do not join a hiking group if you have recently been exposed to persons who have tested positive for Covid 19.

Minimise physical contact amongst each other.

If drivers are willing to pool their cars, this is done at the driver’s and passengers’ own risk.

COVID POSITIVE:

• If a hiker becomes symptomatic or tests positive for Covid 19 within 5 days of an outing, they must immediately notify the hike leader and all persons with whom they had contact or car-pooled.

• The hiker must stop hiking until medically approved to resume all activities.
