In this year's bout of pie eating, grad student Curtis Heberle broke an all time record to win the individual competition with 518 grams.
In the team competition, the faculty team of Drs. James Adler, Xiaozhe Hu, and Rob Kropholler ate an astonishing 1037 grams for a win against the grads (Melody, Curtis, and Jeremy) and undergrads (Kris, Ryan, and Ben) who ate a collective 866 grams and 906 grams respectively
This year's competition featured a return to Pumpkin pie, which had not been seen since 2015 (when a grad student won there as well! Coincidence?).
