We ask that scouts and families participate in our community service projects whenever available: it’s more than a rank advancement requirement.
When our troop commits to a community service activity, it speaks poorly of Scouting, our troop and all of us when we cancel for disinterest, or have no-shows and scant attendance.
Our Scout Oath is “to help other people at all times,” not just for our own benefit and convenience.
If a scout does community service only for self-advancement, it’s not “community service” at all.
Do you take issue with our community service program or any activity? Come to our next committee meeting and let us know, or better yet, become a trained leader and assist in improvement and change.
Committee meetings are generally on the third Thursday of each month.
