Frequently Asked Questions:
- The "Continue" button on the bottom of the screen is grayed out, or the host device can't see a list of players trying to connect.
- Apple released a software update in October that raised some problems with Bluetooth for many users; they’ve since released a patch that seems to solve these problems and enable normal functionality of Trivia Bowl Buzzer. Please check in Settings >General to make sure all of your devices (Players, Captains, and Host) have the most up-to-date iOS.
- The app crashes when I select a device mode ("Game Host," "Team Captain," or "Player").
- This is a bug in Version 2.0 that has been fixed in Version 2.0.1. Try deleting the app and re-downloading it from the App Store.
- My devices aren't connecting. How do I fix this?
- Unfortunately, Trivia Bowl Buzzer is only supported on devices with Bluetooth 4.0 (BLE) capabilities.
- Trivia Bowl Buzzer is compatible only with following devices:
- iPhone 4S and more recent
- iPod Touch 5 and more recent
- iPad 3 and more recent
- iPad Mini (all models)
- iPad Pro (all models)
- How many players can the system support simultaneously?
- Game Hosts and Captains are allowed to connect to up to 16 Players each. Therefore:
- In Individuals Mode, the system can support up to 16 Players.
- In Teams Mode (under ideal circumstances), the system can support up to 17 x 16 = 272 Players.
- In Trivia Bowl Buzzer v1.0, around 10 peripherals is a safe rule of thumb. If any more than this are used, the app may crash.
