Life on the Farm: Study the Past
Learn How Grandma and Grandpa used to live.
Enrichment programs are “hands-on, hands-in” programs designed to give students a unique learning experience that places the history of farm life in rural Illinois within a context that they can understand and appreciate.
During the two-hour programs students will experience life on the farm in four different areas. Some of the activities are: (others are available)
*Activities will depend on the day, as all demonstrators may not be present on scheduled date. Requests may be made.
Morning programs are from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and afternoon programs are from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. A picnic area is available under the pavilion. Enjoy life in the country as you eat your lunch. Orange drink will be furnished free of charge. Programming will begin on September 10 through October, and then again April 15 through May.
8 miles south of Jerseyville on State Highway 109,
then just 2 miles west of Junction 109 in Southwestern Jersey County
or just 6 miles northeast of Grafton, Illinois.
