Contribute to regular interactions and information exchange at International level to address and discuss common roadside safety needs and to stay abreast of best practices, new regulatory issues, risk management strategies, and other research pertaining to roadside safety improvements.
Identify and discuss worldwide needs /common roadside safety practices (a specific topic might be suggested at each meeting)
Share detailed information on roadside safety needs, developments and innovation through international speakers
Disseminate advancements in roadside safety through on-going /recently completed projects, Workshops, papers
Provide a platform to promote discussion and information sharing on identified roadside safety topics with individuals representing public agencies, academia, industry, and highway users
Promote feedback solicitation to support and develop research needs statements related to worldwide common roadside safety issues and needs
Support collaboration with other TRB committees, to advance the discussion and information sharing on cross-disciplinary roadside safety issues
Annual and mid-year Subcommittee multifaceted meetings organized to incorporate invited presentations, discussion topics, and disseminate recent advancements in roadside safety:
“What’s New” Program -- opportunity to easily disseminate advancements in roadside safety through on-going /recently completed projects, Workshops, papers
Invited Presentations – sharing detailed information on roadside safety needs, developments and innovation through international speakers
Discussion Topics – platform for discussion and information sharing on identified roadside safety topics with individuals representing public agencies, academia, industry, and highway users
Discussions and feedback solicitation to support and develop research needs statements related to worldwide common roadside safety issues and needs
