To drive a duplicate invoice to a text file so you can email it to a passenger.
*DH in the ticketed PNR
DUP*DH1/OP-A12345 (where A12345 is the FCLIP device address) and DH1 - 1 is the line # corresponding to the issued ticket for which you need to create a duplicate invoice. This should generate a duplicate invoice to your HOSTPRT folder.
It usually creates a "temp.itn" file that can be opened with notepad.
I copy and paste this into an email, edit it, then send it out to clients as their e-ticket and invoice for expenses.
I've been working with two Wspan pseudo city codes lately, each with separate FCLIP device addresses configured to one laptop.
Apparently HPM does not like them configured at the same time to your computer, or as Wspan refers to it: Local Machine
Once you configure a FCLIP device address in Tools with the Host Print Manager Configuration tool to your Local Machine, it will bump your previously configured FCLIP device address from your other pseudo to a remote machine.
So the process to 'print' a duplicate invoice in another pseudo is to close HPM, log into the pseudo you need the invoice from, go into Host Print Manager Configurator in Tools, deconfigure the FCLIP (which should be a 'remote' machine) and configure it to your Local Machine. Be sure to "Save" the settings.
You may need to stop and restart the device address with YSTPA12345, then YSTRA12345 (where A12345 is your device address).
I think you can do all this without first deconfiguring the Local Machine device in the original pseudo. Changing the configuration from remote to local on the 2nd pseudo should bump the device from local to remote on in the first pseudo, but you may need to go inthere an manually deconfigure the device in the first pseudo.
Watch out if you configure a previously used device address and configure it to your computer. I did that recently and it had over 300 invoice messages queued up dating back 3 years which all started dumping into my HOSTPRT folder. I exited HPM after I saw about 20 of them and gave the help desk a call. Only they can clear the queue. They don't make that entry available to agents.
When you install HPM, you are given a choice to set it up as a service or as an application. I chose application because I didn't want to have it running in the background when windows starts. So to manually start the application just go to Start, then Run, then type in HPM
Windows automagically finds the HPM.exe application and starts it, then the HPM icon appears in the taskbar. Just click an close it to end it.
The person who programmed HPM allowed it an irritating characteristic that if it is running when you shut down or restart windows a box pops up asking if you want to close HPM. Well, duh! Can you imagine if every one of your programs did the same thing?
Set up a FCLIP address if you don't already have one.
Within GoRes select "Tools" then "Host Print Manager Configuration"
These images are small to save space. Click on them to get a readable larger image.
You need to assign an "Unconfigured" "FCLIP/Print Itin/Invoice" device to your computer.
If there are no more free unconfigured FCLIP devices, you need to get your Wspan
Account exec to give you some more.
If you have one available, select it, then click on "Add to local machine..."
Then click on "Configure To"
ok
I've got shortcuts to my HOSTPRT and FASTCLIP folders on my desktop
this is what your temp.itn looks like when opened with notepad
I copy and paste it into a blank email and set the default email template to new courier 10pt type.
This way it will appear just like the invoice would if it were printed out on a wspan printer.
Sometimes it will retain formatting when emailed to client, but often their email client will change
the font/type size to Arial or something else which will mess up the formatting.
You could send a PDF or as a PNG/JPG, but those are a pain.
temp.itn in notepad copied and ready to paste
here it is with header address added and cleaned up, ready to send
