The purpose of the Waterfront Lifeguarding is to teach lifeguards the skills and knowledge needed to prevent and respond to emergencies in nonsurf, open-water areas found at public parks, resorts, summer camps and campgrounds.
You will complete the regular Lifeguard training and then we will include the Waterfront skills.
- Participants must attend all scheduled class dates and times, demonstrate proficient land and water skills, and pass a written exam with a score of at least 80 percent. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will received an American Red Cross email from the following address, Classes-Notify@usa.redcross.org, which contains a link to your electronic certification.
