General Assistance
The General Assistance Program provides assistance to Palermo residents for basic necessities during an emergency situation. Basic necessities include, but are not limited to medication, fuel, rent, food, personal hygiene and electricity. The General Assistance Program is administered under the State of Maine’s DHHS guidelines.

If you wish to receive general assistance, you must fill out an application and schedule an appointment with the GA Administrators.
