Established April 2005, by the Town of Montgomery, the Conservation Advisory Council (CAC) is an advisory unit of municipal government. The CAC provides pertinent environmental information to aid in the decision making process of the governing body. The CAC is a member of the NY Association of Conservation Commissions(NYSACC).

  • The CAC would like to thank all the volunteers that helped with our Tree & Shrub planting (Trees for Tribs program) on May 6th along the Tin Brook in Walden. You can see some photos from this event by clicking here

Trees for Tribs program along the Tin Brook  

Last Spring, we once again were involved in the Trees for Tribs program.  We planted at two locations in Walden this year on the Tin Brook.  With the help of 60+ volunteers, we  planted 200 trees and shrubs along the Tin Brook in Walden, New York on May 6th, 2012..  (click here to see photos)
