Toronto Croquet Club

Welcome to Toronto Croquet Club website. We have four croquet greens, a half size practice green, a clubhouse shared with the Toronto Cricket Club and maintained by Lake Macquarie City Council.

The club has been going since 1992 with 2013 being our 21st Anniversary. We are fortunate to have very proactive committee members, groundsman, coaches and volunteers.

We hold regular Golf, Ricochet, Association and Gateball croquet as shown on our calendar. Visitors are always most welcome. Our courts can be affected by rain, so people to contact about the ground status are listed here.

Wondering if croquet is for you? Check out the Health Benefits of Croquet. Then have a look at our Videos page.

Where are we? Toronto Croquet Club is at the Ron Hill Oval located at Straight Drive, Toronto, NSW. Turn off the Awaba Road opposite the Indoor Swimming Pool.

Click for our publicly available documents folder. For example it has files such as:

  • Club Constitution, Policies and Committee Duties

  • A printable welcome to Toronto Croquet Club.

  • Contacts, playing times, costs and info.

  • The history of Ron Hill Oval by Robert and Glen.

Toronto is a town of over 5500 people, located on beautiful Lake Macquarie in NSW, Australia. We are 100 kms north of Sydney and 28 kms south of Newcastle.

We are only minutes from the M1 Pacific Motorway linking those cities. Just take the clearly signposted turnoff to Toronto at the Awaba Interchange.

The nearby suburb of Fassifern is a major railway station with a regular connecting bus service (called 'The Train') into Toronto. We are just over 2 hours travel by train from Central.

Besides the activities on Lake Macquarie, we are not that far from beaches or a wide variety of Hunter Valley wineries with tasting venues and accommodation.
