I was suffering with stomach pains, which I had thought was developed by stress and nerves. However the stomach pain condition had developed as part of my psychological stress also a tension built in my nervous system within my body. I was emotionally suffering as I would go to the bathroom and feel abdominal pains and trigger excessive sweating in my gruelling moments in the toilet.
I had appointments with the finest specialists and physicians who specialise in stomach and abdominal pain. All the doctors concluded with the theory that I had Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and that there was no cure, only medicine that would aid to slower the results in the bathroom and hope that it would go away in the future. I was recommended to see an acupuncture specialist (Judy Zu), by my parents. I was a little worried about the idea of the acupuncture treatment.
I gave acupuncture a go and saw results instantly. I amazingly felt more calm, relaxed and my abdominal muscles and nervous system within my body felt at ease. I continued acupuncture treatment with herbal medicine, moxa and massage therapy all from the same practitioner from mid- 2007 until the end of the year. The IBS condition had gone, however I psychologically had to accept the treatment to also believe in the system that it would work. Unfortunately the pain had come back the following year in 2008 and I re visited my acupuncture specialist and again underwent the same treatment.
The treatment had finally made my body at ease. I have continued to see my acupuncture specialist on a broad basis to only maintain a balanced health system, by supplying herbal tea to calm my nervous system, which has worked sufficiently time and again. I believe that the acupuncture system is a great medical mechanism that allows the body in a sense to heal itself. The needles aid the meridians to remove a un-equal balance and helps to develop a sustainable control.
