I had a lower back problem... My back did not just feel cramped but it felt very restless! I tried pain killers and even just waited it out to see if it would go on its own. Just wasn’t happening. I thought I would give acupuncture a go. I was just tired of putting up with it and wanted to find a solution fast. I was recommended to go to Dr Judy Zu. She explained the procedure to me, which consisted of acupuncture needles being inserted into specific points on the body, which relates to traditional Chinese medicine. The treatment also included a traditional massage, which aids the acupuncture treatment.
I accepted what she told me and followed through. Instantly after the treatment I felt a mild relief from the cramping and tightness of the muscles, however the restlessness was still there. I was told that the treatment takes time and depending on the condition and how long I have had it, several treatments may be required. A couple days later I found my back was OK. It came back after a week’s time and I returned for the treatment. I discovered that the treatments’ full effect comes into play a day or 2 later for me. It varies from person to person. After about 3-4 treatments my problem was completely gone. I was very impressed with the whole concept of the Chinese medicine and have constantly gone back to it for a variety of problems. These include problems to such as indigestion, heartburn, stress, other muscular aches and increase in breast tissue/fat, which through several treatments of ‘moksa’ helped reduce the size, which was shown through ultrasound. Through the use of herbs that Dr Zu gave me, I was able to also build up my immune system as I found I would catch a cold quite easily.
My experience gave me a whole new understanding of eastern medicine and its natural approach to heal the body. When one often hears about needles they often get nervous and with the thought of needles being punctured into the skin it is quite easy to see why people could be skeptical and scared of such procedure. But as they say you don’t know until you try. Truthfully, it’s painless and it works.
