Dataset highlights
Government revenue by type on an annual basis 1900-2015
Covers virtually all continental African polities, most of them with data for all of the 115 years
Data comparable across time and countries:
Bottom up aggregation based on more than 130,000 individual items (~25,000 of them are unique)
Classification following the IMF guidelines, except for separation of resource revenues
Use of urban wages as deflators -> revenues can be expressed as wage days per capita.
