TLC is a private, non-profit child care program that operates under the supervision of a Director and Governing Board. The primary goal of TLC is to serve children and families of the community by offering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children between the ages of 12 months and 11 years.
PHILOSOPHY
The philosophy of TLC is based first and foremost on the belief that each child is a unique individual. We believe that providing developmentally appropriate programs that focus on the process of learning, help children enjoy positive successful experiences and enhance the formation of a positive self-image in crucial early years. As children grow and have more experiences, their emerging self expands. By creating environments that are safe, clean, healthy, and child-oriented, children can feel secure about themselves to explore, to experience, to choose, to trust, and to succeed.
ENROLLMENT/HOURS
TLC is licensed through the City of Pocatello for 140 children. From September through May, we offer full-time care for toddlers and preschool age children. During the summer months, we will attempt to work out part-time schedules in the toddler/preschool classrooms. The grade school age children may enroll on a part-time schedule at any time, but never for less than 2 days a week.
TLC is open all year, except Federal Holidays, two days at Thanksgiving, three days at Christmas, and the Friday before Easter. The Center operates 6:30 am to 6:15 pm Monday through Friday.
