Tint TUN

Hi,

I am Tint Tun from Myanmar which was previously known as Burma. Myanmar is situated in Southeast Asia. Thailand, China, India and Bangladesh are neighbouring countries.

I am an independent marine biologist, conservationist and consultant.

I am also a Regional Co-Chair (Indian Ocean Region) of the IUCN-Species Survival Commission, Sirenia Specialist Group and a member of the Society for Marine Mammalogy.

I was a pearl culture technician, university teacher, pearl oyster biologist.

Are you also interested in Myanmar marine biodiversity, environment and conservation?

Myanmar is situated on the east coast of the Bay of Bengal. Myanmar has 1230 miles (2279.42km) coast line. Many fauna and flora are waiting for us!!! Some mangroves on Myeik Archipelago in southern Myanmar are prestine and intact forest. Some researches have been done on fishes, shrimps and seaweeds. But, many subjects are still in need and study on marine mammals is a new subject for us. Maybe, we can do some collaborative work in Myanmar waters.

May I invite you to visit the following links, please? You can find some of my papers and you can download them from there just at a click on the title of paper.

Thank you very much.
