TTTE - The Final Countdown

With 20 seasons now, Thomas & Friends is one of the longest running kid's shows in history. It's hard to nail down a list of the best episodes - there are over 400 to choose from! However, one could certainly try, and that's what I'm going to do here!

I'm set on making the ultimate list of Thomas & Friends episodes, but I'm not stopping there. No, to make this an even bigger and better list, I'm also going to be adding in the specials from the TV Series, from Thomas & The Magic Railroad to the newest one, The Great Race. Even more awesome, I'll also be adding in the Railway Series stories that were not adapted into the TV Series. It's one epic list that I'm calling Thomas The Tank Engine: The Final Countdown.

And so, without further ado, sit and back and relax, and enjoy my list of the Top 100 Thomas The Tank Engine Stories Of All Time. If you haven't watched (or read) any of the episodes / specials / stories that made my list, make sure you do so!

For over 70 years, Thomas the Tank Engine and his friends on Sodor Island have been delighting children worldwide. These are the very best stories from Thomas & Friends and The Railway Series. This is Thomas The Tank Engine: The Final Countdown.

It would never suit His Grace if Duke didn't make the list, so of course he's in it. At #100, we kick the list off with You Can't Win. Admittedly, it's the least good from the four Duke stories - but that doesn't matter, it's a good episode that holds up quite well. Duke's trick on Stuart is funny, and Stuart's reaction to it is priceless. All in all, it's a great way to start off this list.

At #99 is Thomas and Skarloey's Big Day Out. Admittedly, this episode is not the best; there are numerous problems with it, but it's nonetheless a charming episode and one of the better ones from the era, and a lot of fans consider it one of the best of Season 10. Not the best, but okay, considering some of the other stories.

Murdoch is an awe-inspiring engine. If Diesel 10 starts bugging the others again, he could probably step in an settle it once-and-for-all. At #98 is his introduction episode, Peace and Quiet. Almost everyone can feel for Murdoch, we don't like it if everyone is being noisy, and the irony of being stuck with sheep for an hour is laughable. It's a good episode from Season 7, and thus it makes the list.
