Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic we are being advised by NHS England to make changes to our service. Due to this the practice will be changing the way you access us. We will further update you tomorrow. This will be focussed on reducing the number of people needing to attend our site at Thistlemoor and using other methods to communicate. The whole of the NHS is planning in this way to try to ensure that we protect patients.
If you have a cough or fever (above 37.8 degrees) the national advice is to self isolate for 7 days. If you are self isolating please do not leave the house and don’t come to the surgery, you should stay at home as this may risk the health of others in the community. If you are getting worse or unable to cope please use the online 111 service (https://111.nhs.uk/) or call 119 but be aware their service is under a lot of pressure and the time to answer may be long.
For many, the national advice is that coronavirus will be a mild illness and the NHS is focussing its efforts on those most unwell and affected by the condition. At Thistlemoor like other GP surgeries we cannot test for coronavirus, the only route to get tested is the 119 route described above.
Thank you for your understanding, please be assured that our aim is to protect you and your families. We will also continue to update this page with further details.
