Our youth bowling tournament was a 3 person co-ed team tournament using the Baker format with handicap. 14 teams (52 bowlers) entered and were placed into 2 divisions of 7 teams.
The Championship Stepladder Finals was filmed by WSCS - TV to be aired on Spectrum Cable TV, channel 990.
$8,100 dollars was awarded to 24 of the 52 bowlers.
This may be considered the BEST youth scholarship tournament in Wisconsin, awarding the most scholarship money! A $500 donation was also made to the Wisconsin Make A Wish Foundation!

Thielmann's Athletic Club Youth Scholarship Bowling Tournament was held on Saturday, December 28th, 2019 at Lakeshore Lanes. 3 - Person Co-Ed Teams competing in 2 Divisions; Teams must have a minimum of 1 female bowler and 1 male bowler on the team.
$7,000.00 in scholarships; each division has the same amount of scholarships awarded: $1,500.00 for 1st, $900.00 for 2nd, $600.00 for 3rd and $450.00 for 4th. A $100.00 scholarship will be awarded as a sportsmanship award.

Our annual Youth Scholarship Bowling tournament was held on Saturday, December 29th, 2018 at Lakeshore Lanes, in Sheboygan, WI. This year's event featured the Baker's Format. We divided the teams into 2 divisions of 9 teams each. Each team played every team within their own division (pool play). The top four teams in each division then entered the Step-Ladder Roll Off that was broadcast live on our local Spectrum channel.
Equal scholarship money in each division!

The Thielmann’s Athletic Club held its 2nd Annual Holiday Youth Scholarship tournament on December 30th, 2017 at Lakeshore Lanes. This was our 13th Scholarship tournament. In attendance, was one of the greatest Professional Bowlers, Walter Ray Williams Jr. Each youth had their picture taken with Walter Ray, and bowled with him during qualifying.
65 Youth bowlers participated in this event. The Bowlers were split into 4 Divisions, based on handicap. A total of $5,000 was given away in Scholarship m

In Division 1, Crosby Richter survived a roll-off, just to qualify for the match play. Crosby defeated the other 3 bowlers in Division 1, to win his second Thielmann’s Athletic Club tournament. Division 2 was won by Gabriale Voskuil. Division 3 was won by Kaden Harrington. Division 4 was won by Robert Tock.
The Thielmann's Athletic Club has changed it's Youth Scholarship Bowling Tournament from a spring event to a holiday event. December 31, 2016 - Sorry no results at this time
The Thielmann Athletic Club Youth Scholarship Bowling Tournament is going to be held on Sunday, March 13th, 2016 at Maple Lanes. This year Professional Bowler Brian Valenta will be appearing at the tournament. All youth who enter will have their picture taken with Brian Valenta and receive a 8" x 10" print for him to autograph. Brian will be bowling with the youth during qualifying along with local All-Stars. After qualifying there will be an autograph session and the Thielmann Athletic Club will be serving a Brat Fry for youth and fans to enjoy. The next phase of the tournament is Match Play for the youth who made qualifying. Then the Step-ladder finals will take place with WSCS filming the Step-ladder finals. After the Step-ladder finals there will be a special match with the highest qualifying high school boy and girl bowling against Pro-Bowler Brian Valenta. This match will also be filmed by WSCS TV and aired on Charter Cable TV.
2014: Had career best finish of second in Badger Open losing to Bill O'Neill 243-235 in championship match. Career: In 2011-12 had best finishes of fifth in Chameleon Open and 16th in Shark Open. In 2010-11, had best finishes of seventh in GEICO Shark Championship and eighth in Lumber Liquidators U.S. Open...In 2012-13 had best finishes of 16th in Lucas Oil Bear Open and 19th in Milwaukee Open...Won first PBA regional in 2013
While Pro-Bowler Brian Valenta is in Sheboygan he will also appear at a Pro-Am Bowling Tournament on Saturday Night, March 12th, at Maple Lanes. This tournament is sponsored by The Thielmann Athletic Club and Budweiser Beer. All entrees will have their picture taken with the Pro-Bowler and receive a 8" x 10" print for him to autograph. Bowlers will bowl with a special handicap. Bowlers with a 200 or higher average will bowl 9-pins same as a strike, 180 -199 average will bowl 8-pins same as a strike, bowlers with an average of 160-179 will bowl 7-pins same as a strike and bowlers with an average below 160 will bowl 6-pins same as a strike. Pro-Bowler Brian Valenta will bowl with all entries during qualifying. The top 7 qualifiers will bowl against Brian Valenta in a 1-game Beat the Pro Competition. Prizes will be awarded after the Beat the Pro Competition with Budweiser Beer for a Year as the top prize. APRIL 18, 2015Bowl with PBA Player and Brunswick Staffer Sean Rash, the PBA’s Bowler of the Year for 2011-2012 and the only PBA Player in History to roll Two Televised 300 Games! The most recent at this years T.O.C! Each bowler will have their picture taken with Sean Rash at check-in and personally autographed. A bowling seminar will be offered for those who don’t make qualifying.Eligibility: All bowlers must be current members of the Sheboygan Youth Bowling
Association and must present sanction cards at check-in.
Average: All bowlers will use their highest average from 2013-14 as listed in the
Average book, unless the current average is 10 pins or more at the time of bowling. If
a bowler does not have a book average, they must use their highest current average
at the time of bowling with at least 21 games in the current bowling season. Any bowler who does not have a listed or current average will bowl scratch, no exceptions. Handicapping system will be 100% of 220. Final average determination will be at the discretion of the tournament director.
This event was held on Saturday, April 12, 2014, at Maple Lanes. This annual bowling tournament gives the youths in Sheboygan county a chance for additional scholarships.
This year, one of the best women pro-bowlers and the current USBC spokesperson, Diandra Asbaty, appeared at our tournament. She was available for pictures and autographs during the tournament and participated in a special match against the highest qualifying bowlers.
Natalie Savant also appeared at the youth bowling tournament. She was on the Mike and Kelly TV show and other shows, as she is trying to bowl in all 48 states of the continental United States to bring awareness to youth bowling. She is 10 years old and will be accompanied by her parents, her Dad is Donald "Duck" Savant, he was also a professional bowler, he also bowled with the youth during qualifying.
The Thielmann's Athletic Club held its 17th Annual Scholarship Bowling Tournament on Sunday, April 6, 2013 at Maple Lanes. There were 86 bowlers that competed and $5,600 in scholarship money was awarded at this event.
Each year we have been lucky enough to have a Pro-bowler join us for the day. This year, Sean Rash, PBA’s Bowler of the Year for 2011-12, joined the competitors at Maple Lanes (Sheboygan, WI)
All entrants had a chance to meet Rash and have a picture taken, Rash autographed photos during qualifying and then bowled against the top qualifying high school female and male students. Kayleigh Bitters and Jacob Mickelson both defeated Sean. Kayleigh bowled 294 with handicap, Jacob bowled 275 with handicap and Sean had a 246 in the roll off.
