"To support the youth of our community in their pursuit of both athletic and academic excellence!"
Each club member is very active in the community. Many times these activities involve helping individuals or groups with monetary or manpower contributions so that their needs can be met. The membership focuses on the youth of our community by donating time and money to local youth sports teams and giving an annual scholarships to worthy local high school graduates.

In 1981, Thielmann’s Athletic Club started a college scholarship program for high school graduates, which alternated between Sheboygan North and Sheboygan South High schools. The first scholarship awarded in 1981-1982, was for $300. The amount has increased over the years to the present amount of $6,000. We award $3,000 to a deserving North High graduate and $3,000 to a deserving South High Graduate. Thielmann’s Athletic Club has contributed more than $118,000 in scholarships since its conception.
We have also donated tens of thousands of dollars to local youth sports teams and organizations.
Also, each year we organize a Youth Scholarship Bowling Tournament where TAC donates its time and money to offer additional scholarships to the local youth...awarding between $5,000 and $8,000 each year to the lucky winners.

Thielmann's Athletic Club was organized in September, 1980 when Dave Schultz, the former manager of Thielmann's Old Wisconsin Softball Team, invited 25 former players and friends of the team to a meeting for the purpose of organizing a sports club. The reason for organizing the club was to keep the former players and friends, that had played softball and followed the team over the years...together!
The Thielmann's softball team was originally organized in 1968, and was known as the Snafu Royals. They played for Snafu until 1975 when Thielmann's Old Wisconsin Sausage Company became the sponsor of the team. Throughout the years the team was very successful; winning the State Class A Championship in 1975 and going to Providence, Rhode Island, to compete in the National Softball Championship, taking 5th place in the national event with a 7-2 record out of 62 teams. Throughout the years the team had won the Sheboygan Classic League Championship, the Sheboygan County Class A Championship, and many trophies from various sponsored tournaments throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Illinois.
Because of the friendships and the fun the guys had throughout the years, the idea of an Athletic Club seemed like the proper thing to keep these friendships going, thus making it a lifetime association for its members.
