The nation of Edom arose from Esau and represents all non-Israelite nations in the aspect of their being specifically not chosen as the true and faithful witness that God will call to take the witness stand for Him in His courtroom when He judges Adam and the civilizations of Adam in the world. How can this very role of being the first who is formally called, "Not My People," become a means for Edom to hear the Good News as being good news for them?
Concerning this the Sages of Israel, of blessed memory, said (nt.9),“When [the Jewish people] were exiled to Edom, the Shechinah accompanied them.”
