What Is Good about the Good News?

Introductory Remarks

There is nothing of importance in this world that does not have to do with the correction of Adam's sin and the revealing once again to the world the truth about the one and only God, the Creator of heaven and earth. It is through the word by which God will reveal Himself and does reveal Himself in truth that He will create new heavens and a new earth. To this end, He has chosen Israel as His witness, that through the perfecting of the testimony of Israel He may bring this good news forth as a final verdict in His courtroom of judgment upon Adam, and so bring life from the dead. Thus, the chapters of this work begin with the question of what the good news is to the ears of Israel and proceed from there, step by step, according to the history of redemption.
