Gary has succeeded in determining the sad fate of William Kruger, sole survivor of the Wickenburg Massacre.

He has also identified a White suspect, likely involved in the massacre.

Went to the massacre site with an experienced commercial drone pilot, photographed aerial views of the site, took aerial photos for preparing 3-D map, and took two videos of approaches to the site, Apr 7, 2022.

Gary has been asked to present his findings  in a round-table discussion at the 2023 Arizona History Convention in Tempe, moderated by Dr. Eduardo Pagan,  Mar 30, 2022.

Coordinated with Sean Hammond, Arizona Site Stewards Coordinator, regarding our findings and suggested he add the Wickenburg Massacre Site to their list of protected sites, Mar 3, 2022.  He will also coordinate with the Arizona Land Department.

Consultation with Dr. Eduardo Pagán, Arizona State University's Bob Stump Endowed Professor of History, who has presented material on the Wickenburg Massacre previously, Feb 23, 2022. 

Wickenburg Pioneer Cemetery and Massacre Site  Examination - Feb 17, 2022  No trace of human scent other than from the marked graves of Henry Wickenburg and his friends were found in the cemetery.  Human scent was found at the massacre site emanating from the grave in the wash (likely of William George Salmon), the cairn containing Loring's Cross (most likely the grave of Frederick Wadsworth Loring), and three locations surrounding a post in a small cairn east and slightly south of Loring's Cross; the likely graves of "Dutch" John Lance, Charles Adams, Frederick Shoholm, and Peter Hamel.
