Ameer & Ambryte

Ameer and Ambryte are twin sisters, born to a favoured concubine of the Mad King. The two girls shared a sense of justice and morals, and took it upon themselves to investigate the disappearances of local children. However, a few months into the investigation, someone caught wind of the two. The twins lived in a quiet home hidden far away from the Mad King's castle and never had any fear of attack. That is, until Ameer was taken while she was out in the herb garden. After discovering her sister missing, Ambryte marched to the castle to confront their father the king. She then begged and pleaded with her father for help, but for whatever reason, he could not. Instead he named Ameer and Ambryte Skysign, daughter of the Mad Kind, putting a target on their backs. Ambryte spent four months looking for her sister when she was ambushed and taken away. For the next four years, she was experimented on and changed. Ambryte tried to escape numerous times, but each attempt had only led to her recapture and a harsh punishment. The person who conducted the inhumane and brutal experiment, (placeholder name), deemed her a failure. (placeholder name) hired a mercenary to dispose of Ambryte, or so she thought. In truth, the changes made to Ambryte had been successful, and one last thing was needed to activate them.

Ambryte needed to be driven to absolute fear, the point in one's mind that there was no question that they would die. Now in a wooded area close to the Duchy of Felfrost, she saw the instrument of her end. Collapsing inwards, the words "O' lords and ladies of above and below please save my sister". No sooner had the last words of her desperate prayer left her mouth when Ambryte fell under something dark. Darker and darker and darker still, Ambryte fell and felt something new, the entering of a new soul. The pain was horrid and almost lethal. Meanwhile, the mercenary took pity on the girl who was undoubtedly in pain. He picked her up and took her to the very edge of the Felfrost duchy. When Ambryte awoke, she was no longer Ambryte, but Ameer. Ameer made new friends who tried to help her, but could not. She then joined the Union and was happy for a time, but her goal had always been keeping Ambryte away from (placeholder name).
