The Seven Laws And Repentance

Poem of the Seven Laws and Repentance

Not are you now a blasphemous mouth

You are a penitent tongue

You are a prayer to the Name of God

Not are you now an idolatrous heart

You are a hearing ear of Israel

hearing the Voice of one God

You are hunger and thirst for righteousness

You are love for mercy

You are a humble path

upon which many can walk with your God

Not are you now a continuing curse of death

You are a human blessing of hope

a morning star of eternal human kindness

Not are you now human family perversity

You are human family forgiveness

You are a most human belief in God

a humble human family in God’s love

Not are you now a parasite upon creation

You are a healer of worlds

a nurse standing at God’s side

an apprentice to His hand

Not are you now a rabid predator of life

You are a child of God

You are a Baal Teshuva
