Wilson is a highly accomplished executive with multi-functional domestic, global international, startup and virtual management expertise. Her management experiences are complemented by solid technical skills and outstanding leadership skills. In addition to leading global and local staffed organizations, she continues to work with leadership teams on effective strategic journey map formulation, successful project/company turnaround and efficient recovery roadmap execution. Wilson is a versatile thought leader, speaker, and author with strategic critical thinking, understanding business complexities, planning and implementing tactical solutions.
Wilson has received technical and management accolades, awards, and recognition including as General Motors Scholar, NASA Space Shuttle software development engineer, and Global Position System (GPS) software development engineer. Prior to The Tech Savvy Group, Wilson founded and advised other startup and small companies. She also worked at various for-profit and non-profit organizations in board positions and senior and executive leadership levels. Wilson’s varied domestic and international multi-million dollar Fortune 100 companies experience brings focused and structured processes to assist the boards and clients manage their organizations. She has evaluated global organizational performance, recommended structure and established strategic direction. Additionally, Wilson has implemented and managed best practices and processes with organizational strategic and governance perspective.
As a Montgomery County Parks and Recreation Advisory Board countywide executive committee member and Trinity Washington University adjunct professor, Wilson has also volunteered and served numerous boards and organizations with her strategic and governance perspective including The First Tee of Washington DC Metro (County board member, Strategic committee co-chair), Habitat for Humanity, Extreme Home Makeover, Whistles and Flashlights for Safety. She holds a Bachelor of Computer Science/Mathematics from Grambling State University and a Master of Science in Computer Electrical Engineering from Florida Institute of Technology. Wilson also holds a Master of Business Administration from Georgetown University. She continues her education through course work at Stanford University, other educational institutions and corporate institutions.
