Coastline Exhibition

A new exhibition of coastal photography opens at Discovery Point in Dundee on Saturday 5^th October.

The Coastline Exhibition is by a group of local photographers who have united under the banner of “The St Andrews Photographers” to share their vision of the amazing diversity of rocks, minerals, landforms and seascapes, as well as plant and animal life, to be found on the beaches and shores of Fife and Angus. The group hope to reflect this diversity in their photography.

The St Andrews Photographers all live in North East Fife and between them have many years of photographic experience, have exhibited widely, and also won several awards at national and international levels.

Stan Farrow, one of the group said, “As photographers, we try to record what catches our eye. The textures, colours, shapes, and forms of the landscape are constantly transformed by the changing light. Often the mundane can be magically transformed into the sublime in the blink of an eye, or the click of a shutter button.”

This is a small exhibition, but the range of photographic styles and viewpoints is varied. Between the members of the group they have gone a long way to capturing something of the great beauty of our Angus and Fife Coastline.

The exhibition runs from 5^th October during normal opening hours of 10.00am – 5.00pm daily except Sunday opening at 11.00am at Discovery Point and closes on Thursday 9^th January.
