It is quite obvious that, in many senses, a porcupine, or any other being capable of walking about easily, is more intelligent than the most advanced computer today (he is better able to deal with and interpret the environment around him). However, we are speaking about a different kind of intelligence, that which has distinguished the human species from the rest in our planet.
