How will we know if we have a scientific/good theory of the caste system?
If we have a scientific theory about the caste system, we will be able to tell whether a dalit women being raped by a Brahmin is an instance of the caste system or not. Or, if it is proved that the caste system is some kind of stratification, a theory of caste will have to explain why other stratifications are not of the caste system.
