In reality, these scenes were filmed in Long Beach Harbor on the M/V Catalina Duchess, part of the Catalina Classic Cruises fleet. Two days were spent with the boat moored on the dock and one night was shot out in the harbor, which can be hilariously detailed in the "Office Ladies" podcast.
